Part 2 - Exercise 2.1 Typology
We are asked to put together a typology of images containing a single motif.
Having recently had cyclist crash into the back of my car whilst I was stationary I was inspired to find images of damaged cars.
When I started to look at images of damaged cars I felt initially overwhelmed, such is the power of the internet, which ones should I choose. I felt drawn to the images where the cause of the damage was unclear. Where 2 damaged cars are seen on a road one assumes that the 2 cars have collided.
If the reason is not clear then I questioned and wondered what had, happened, how did the car get damaged? These images appealed to me as there was more narrative within the image.
Whilst not at the same level of Schmid it was clear that there were many possibilities of images and group types to collate images within
